Perinatal & Women’s OCD Therapy  Intensive

Focused. Supportive. Transformational.

OCD can be overwhelming—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, or other major life transitions. Intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and shame can make it difficult to feel present, grounded, or connected to yourself. Our Therapy Intensive for Perinatal & Women’s OCD provides deep, concentrated support designed to help you regain stability and reclaim your sense of self.

What is Perinatal OCD?

Perinatal OCD is a form of obsessive–compulsive disorder that occurs during pregnancy or after childbirth, involving unwanted intrusive thoughts and anxiety-driven rituals. It can cause intense fear about harm coming to the baby even though the parent has no intention of causing harm.

You might have perinatal OCD if you…

  • Have upsetting thoughts about something bad happening to the baby

  • Feel very scared or guilty about these thoughts because you know they aren’t “you”

  • Do the same actions over and over (like checking, cleaning, or avoiding things) to feel safer

  • Don’t want to be alone with the baby because you’re afraid something might happen

  • Spend a lot of time trying to push away or “fix” the scary thoughts

  • Know the thoughts don’t make sense but still can’t stop worrying

What Is a Therapy Intensive for OCD?

A therapy intensive condenses weeks or months of treatment into a shorter, more focused format. Instead of weekly sessions, you engage in several hours of targeted work across a few days, allowing for faster progess and quicker symptom relief.

This structure is ideal when OCD symptoms feel overwhelming, escalate during pregnancy or postpartum, or you are feeling stuck in traditional weekly therapy.

What Is I-CBT and Why Is It Beneficial for OCD?

Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on the root of OCD: doubt, uncertainty, and intrusive “what if” thinking. I-CBT helps you understand how your mind becomes caught in fictional, threat-based stories—and how to break that cycle.

I-CBT teaches you to:

  • Identify when you're slipping into an “OCD doubt story”

  • Reconnect with your real senses and present-moment experience

  • Reduce mental checking, reassurance seeking, and rumination

  • Rebuild trust in your intuition and internal sense of safety

Why I-CBT Works So Well in the Perinatal Period

Pregnancy and postpartum naturally increase uncertainty, vigilance, and responsibility—conditions that OCD often feeds on. I-CBT is especially powerful here because it:

  • Targets intrusive fear stories common in perinatal OCD (e.g., harm, contamination, morality, “bad mother” fears)

  • Helps you separate normal worries in parenthood from OCD-driven doubt

  • Reduces shame by helping you understand why your mind goes into overprotective mode

  • Gives you gentle tools that help you figure out your feelings and when OCD takes hold, which can be really helpful during pregnancy and early parenthood when emotions can feel extra strong.

Why Choose a OCD Therapy Intensive?

Faster Relief for Intrusive Thoughts & OCD Doubt

With concentrated I-CBT work, clients often experience quicker shifts in how they relate to intrusive thoughts, reducing anxiety and mental compulsions in a shorter timeframe.

Specialized Treatment for Perinatal OCD

This intensive is made to help with the common worries people have during pregnancy and early parenthood that OCD can worsen—like being scared of germs, worrying something bad might happen, feeling unsure about being a “good” Mom, feeling nervous about changing relationships, having scary thoughts after the baby is born, or feeling stressed about getting pregnant.

The intensive uses gentle, proven methods that teach you new ways to handle tough thoughts and feelings.

Momentum to Break OCD Patterns

Daily sessions that last 3–6 hours help you break out of constant worrying and build new, healthier ways of thinking so OCD doesn’t feel as strong.

Flexible Format for Busy Mothers & Parents

Whether you’re preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a newborn, or juggling multiple roles, the intensive model provides powerful support in a time-efficient format.
